WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE GENTLEMEN VESPA CLUB

HEREBY RESOLVE
To maintain our originality and the entire meaning of the words "gentleman" and/or "lady"
To proclaim our belief in the necessary rules to keep ourselves and our friends and family
To build a bond between all Historical" Vespa riders, on every road in the world
To promote the best possible road conditions among "Historical" Vespas, hand in hand

AND TO THESE ENDS
We will practice tolerance, living in harmony with all other two-wheel, three-wheel, four- or more-wheel drivers in a spirit of neighborliness
We will join our forces when confronted with a lack of elegance, good manners and humility
We agree to follow the 10 rules set forth in the "Historical" Vespa charter of good Conduct to the best of our ability
We will use this Code to bring among all "Historical" Vespa riders together around a spirit of pride and mutual recognition

WE HEREBY JOIN OUR FORCES TO BRING ABOUT THESE PURPOSES
Accordingly, we hereby adopt this "Historical" Vespa charter of good Conduct, herewith establishing an international organization with the name of the (quite gentlemanly) Gentlemen Vespa Club.

Rule 1

I agree to behave like a gentleman at all times.

(or like a lady, as the case may be)

Rule 2

I will nod elegantly and courteously to "Historical" Vespa riders when I meet them on the road.

Rule 3

I will refer to Vespas as "she," not "he."

Rule 4

I know the "Historical" Vespa's origins by heart.

Rule 5

En vespa « historique » on ne se déplace pas du point « A » au point « B » mais on y prend du plaisir.

Rule 7

I know full well that my Vespa's motor is on the side, and that it doesn't go straight, even on a straight road, but I feign ignorance.

I will help any "Historical" Vespa rider with mechanical trouble.
